They say it's doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Well, I'm doing it and hoping for my OLD results.
I love my insanity body. No other program gives me the body insanity does. Period. As much as I loved beast, it's not going to give me the results I want alone because it doesn't target my high fat areas (lower body, core) the way I need. Insanity does. Today I did max 30 day 1 and I'm more sore in my core than I was my entire beast 90 days. That just was confirmation of what I had been feeling for months. I definitely know it upped my strength and built muscle, but it didn't shed the way I wanted.
I am not complaining here. I was in severe meh mode and the Body a Beast challenge group kept me COMPLETELY honest and on track. It kept me doing something, which was what I needed. My internal motivation was flagging "MAYDAY" and that group offered me a life raft. I'm not sure I would have worked out regularly at all if I had not made that commitment. So I'm not disappointed that my results weren't my ideal, because the fact was that I did move forward.
But now I'm giving Shaun T the keys again full time. And I am using the container system in the book because it's SO easy to follow. I'm going to promise myself 60 days of complete focus and see what I end up with at the end of the calendar. My mindset is back where it should be and I am fully present for this workout.
